Ballymacelligott and Ballyseedy Parishes

New Book

Next month sees the publication of the History of the Parishes of BallymacElligott, Ballyseedy, O’Brennan and Nohoval written in 1932 by R.C. priest Fr William Ferris but never previously published. The book contains a wealth of genealogical and historical material relating to the Protestant community in these parishes going back hundreds of years. Tralee man Brendan McCarthy has spent five years editing and indexing the manuscript. The website for the book www.ballymacelligott.com helpfully contains a surname index so you can check to see if your family or ancestors are mentioned.
