Rapunzel Foundation:

Allie Tarrant, Rosie Giles and Emma Tarrant very generously had their lovely locks cut at the Allure hair studio in Tralee. This was done in aid of the Rapunzel foundation. The hair will be used to make much needed wigs to improve the lives of those living with the hair loss because of illness or because of treatment for cancer. Well done girls, you can be very proud of yourselves.

Congratulations:  To Christina Ronan who was baptised in St Johns’ Church Ashe Street. Christina is the daughter of Sara and Michael Ronan.

To Liam and Sharon Poff of Tralee, whose son George was baptised in St John’s Church Tralee.

To Niall Mason and Deirdre Fitzgibbon who were married recently and held their wedding celebration in Ballyseedy Castle. Niall is the son of John and Carol Mason.

BOYS BRIGADE ENROLLMEMT:  The 1st Tralee Company of the Boys Brigade paraded into St. John’s on the 19th November for their enrollment service. It was wonderful to have twenty-two boys and girls in the company. Some of the children read the lessons and led the intercessions, while others brought up the flags and took up the collection. The whole company sang the hymn, ‘This little light of mine’. Well done to the children. Many thanks to the Captain Collette for all her work in preparing for the service and to the officers, Dawn, Rory, David and Gerhardt.

10am to 4pm

CHRISTMAS FAIR:  The Christmas Fair will be held in Teach an tSolais on Saturday the 16th December from 10am until 4pm. This is a valuable fundraising and community building event and all parishioners are urged to support this as best you can.

Ways to help:  Calling all bakers, knitters, people willing to give time and goods (new and nearly new) to the Christmas Fair to be held in Teach an tSolais, Ashe St. Tralee on Saturday, 16th December in aid of St. John's Church funds.

Lots for the Silent Auction: we have a new Fremax Ladies Bicycle (reserve €250), a Gent’s bicycle, an Electric Caddy car, and a pull Caddy car!  If you have items such as new electrical goods, small pieces of furniture, jewelry, gift tokens or vouchers, we would be delighted to receive them.

If Baking is your talent, we would love homemade goodies of all sorts.  Too near Christmas to bake?  Why not bake now and freeze?

If your skills lie in the Jam, Chutney, Pickle or Preserve making department, we would be so happy to receive the fruit of your labours.

Knitting or Crochet more your thing?  Hats and scarves, gloves and mittens are always welcome.

Thank YOU!

The Revd's Jim and Phyllis would like to thank you for all the support you have given throughout the year and wish you a very blessed and happy Christmas
