Lent
Lent will begin this Wednesday with services in Tralee with both our school and Kiltallagh National School.
There will be a service in Kilgobbin later in the evening, See below for our Lenten program.
Confirmation group 2025
Confirmation preparation will begin this Thursday at 6pm in Teach an tSolais.
WE pray for Adam Alison, Charlotte, Corla, Declan, Elliot, Jake, Jotham and Luke and their parents as they support them at this time.
Bishops Visit
A word of thanks to all who prepared for and participated in the services which were led by Bishop Michael in Ballyseedy and Ballymac.
Thank you to those who read and led the prayers and to those who prepared the Tea.
Visits like these are occasions of encouragement and I wish to thank the Bishop for coming amongst us.
Mothering Sunday
This falls on the 4th Sunday of lent and we will have a service in Tralee at 10.45am on the 30th March. We invite everyone to this service and esp. those young people who are preparing for confirmation.
Mothering Sunday will be celebrated in Kilgobbin and St James at the usual times.
HOLY STROLLERS
Our next Holy Stroll will be on Saturday March 1st and this time we are off to Kerry Head where, weather permitting, we will enjoy magnificent views across Tralee Bay and the Shannon Estuary. We'll depart from Teach an tSolais at 10.30am. Please dress suitably according to weather on the day. Walking boots are recommended as some of the tracks are muddy and wet. Either way - we strongly recommend waterproof footwear. There will be some uneven sections along the route and we will be passing through farmland so dogs are not permitted. If you would like to join us please let Olive know.
Baptism
Congratulations to Chrystal and Padraig who brought their second daughter Eliza Ruby for Baptism to St Johns on the 22nd February. Sharing in the occasion were her big sister Mia Mai and the extended family. Stuart Broomfield who is currently doing placements as part of his training also took part. Stuart and Padraig had previously worked together.

Parishioners in Hospital
Due to privacy rules and GDPR it’s not possible to ask in hospitals anymore for a list of C of I patients. I am happy to visit any parishioner in any of the hospitals and care homes in the wider parish area. The provision of pastoral care to Church of Ireland patients in the hospitals such as UHK and the BONS is part of my role. I work closely with the full-time chaplains, but please let me know if you or a loved one would like a visit or indeed if anyone known to you would like a visit.
