Sunday 24th May

Good Evening Everyone,
I Hope you have made it safely through the recent stormy weather. Hopefully the summer weather will be returning again shortly.
I have attached the sheet for tomorrows service which you can print off.
I have also included a childrens sheet  and prayers including one that has been shared at a recent Wednesday service by Trevor Giles, Thankyou Trevor for reminding us
of this great Irish saint from our parish,The first European to discover America.

I have also attached one that I have written for the wide variety of frontline workers that go to work daily and no doubt a little anxious about who and what they will encounter.
Please remember also those who are sick and those recovering from treatment as well as those who have been unable to attend the funeral of a friend or loved one because of the current situation.

Thankyou also for your support of the parish and for returning the envelopes or using an alternative method to make your contribution.tomorro
Have a nice weekend

Jim

Tomorrows service will be broadcast from Ballymacelligott Church via the Ballymacelligott Community Alert Facebook page at around 11am

Prayer for those who work on the frontline and they are many in this group.

Loving God, we give thanks for all who work on the frontline at this difficult time.  Keep them safe and strong as they serve their communities. Be with them as they go to work each day, sometimes anxious and fearful of contacting the virus. Reassure them that  they are respected and admired and all is being done to keep them safe, as they go about their daily work .  Amen

Prayer of St Brendan The Navigator

Help me to journey beyond the familiar  and into the unknown.

Give me the faith to leave old ways and break fresh ground with You.

Christ of the mysteries, I trust You to be stronger than each storm within me.

I will trust in the darkness and know that my times, even now, are in Your hand.

Tune my spirit to the music of heaven, and somehow, make my obedience count for You."

Amen.
