5th Sunday before Advent

St. John's Church Ashe Street Tralee

20:40 (1 hour ago)
Good Morning Every One,

Please find the youtube clip of our morning service from the Tralee and Dingle Group for the fifth Sunday before Advent.

Jesus in the Gospel teaches his disciples that the most important of the commandments are:
To Love God
To Love our neighbour.

As I minister in the parish there are many wonderful examples of people showing that love in their daily lives,
Many in caring for loved ones at home , many in their professional lives and many more as they  serve in the voluntary and charitable sector.
I am always inspired by them, some have very kindly shared in this morning service,

The prayers were led by :
Marion volunteers with Adapt
Collette  runs the Soup Kitchen,
Zady is a nurse in UHK
Mark is a member of Tralee Lions
Mary serves with Adi Roche, Chernobyl Childrens International.

Thank you also to Linda , to  Nienke and her family and to Sam who sang, Sam is also training to be a nurse.

Bishop Kenneth Shared experience that he witnessed  from his time with the Anglican Communion Office of the church loving and serving the community.
He spoke about the Anglican Cathedral in the Congo and two projects they facilitated, one was working with those who suffered from Aids and the Other was with Women who suffered so much during war.

Collect for the Sunday

O God,

whose Son has taught us

that love is the fulfilment of your law;

stir up within us the fire of your Holy Spirit,

and pour into our hearts your greatest gift of love,

so that we may love you with our whole being,

and our neighbour as ourselves;

through Jesus Christ our Lord,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever. Amen
